Eating Their Own Dog Food!!

If Government run Health care is so great, and the System in Canada is
what Obama and the Dem's want for us, then why do even Canadian
governemtn officials fly to MIAMI to get heart surgery and pay out of
      their own pockets??

Because, the needed surgery is not available to them!!

Why do thousands of Cancer patients come form Canada to the US for
treatment and pay out of their pocket when they have such a "Wonderful"
      free healthcare system?

If the system that our government wants to push on us is so great, why
does the bill provide a DIFFERENT system for members of Congress, the
President, and other high ranking Government officials? Because, they
don't want to taste the dog food they are feeding us!

      Read the story here: Canadian

Options and Priorities

A few years ago, after my divorce, I swore I would never make anyone a
priority in my life again, as long as I was just an option to them. As a
result, I let some long standing friendships go. Because, while I had
always been there for them, when I needed a friend, they suddenly didn't
get the 2 emails and 3 voicemail messages.

The last few weeks, I've tried to not instigate any phone calls, email
conversations, text message discussions... Mainly because I wanted to
see how many of the people that want me to be their friend, want to be
      mine.

My phone has been silent, my email bare, very few text messages outside
of jokes passed on, 'en masse, have come in. I guess all of my friends
are OK, since, they haven't needed anything from me. After all, that's
the only reason many of the people that call me friend bother to contact
      me.

I have a feeling that, over the next few weeks, a few (more than a few
really) of my "Friends" are going to notice that I am no longer in their
friends list on Facebook, Tagged or MySpace. Then again, will they
      really notice??

BIM Active

OK, I'm trying out another new program on my BlackBerry. And, it's more
than that, this is a free service that supports a lot of different
      phones from different cell providers.

      It's Called BIM Active.
What it does it allow you to track your outdoor activites (Walks, Runs,
Bike Rides....), caclulate distance, time, calories burned, and keep a
log of them. It will even publish a "Blog" of them on their site. Here's
      mine.

I have linked my blog there, to this Blog. While the formatting is a
little different here than what it displays there, It's basically the
same info. I'm going to start using this to help motivate me and keep me
more accountable as spring get here.

FourSquare

OK, well I just found out about FourSquare,
and well, I like it. It seems fun. Almost like a cross between
      Geocaching, Facebook and Twitter.

What is FourSquare? Here's what they have on their "HELP"
      page:

      What is foursquare?

      foursquare is a cross between a friend-finder,
a social city-guide and a game that rewards you for doing interesting
things. We aim to build things to not only help you keep up with the
places your friends go, but that encourage you to discover new places
and challenge you to explore your neighborhood in new ways.

Basically, you check in when you are out. Kind of like a Tweet on
Twitter. You can do it from your mobile phone @ m.foursquare.com, you
can do it by TXT message, or, they have an app for iPhones, Android
Phones, BlackBerry Phones and the Palm Pre phones.

You earn points for checking in, and badges for doing certian things.

It's all in good fun and meant for you to link up with your friends and
      compete for points and badges.

If you join, be sure to add me as a friend!! Just be sure to link it to
your FaceBook or Twitter Account, and have me as a friend on one of them
      to find me.

I'm Back!!!!!!

OK, I've let this sit idle WAY too long. I've had myself in a bit of a
personal funk, I put back on about 25 lbs of the weight I lost... It's
      been a rough year.

But, I've met someone that has changed my life. The funk is gone! I'm
hitting a local gym, 4, sometimes 6 times a week. I'm back on the diet.
And, I'm getting ready to move to a new, hopefully much better place.

What really got me was the election of Obama. It really just killed my
hope for this country. But, last nights victory in Mass, a REPUBLICAN
taking the seat held by Teddy Kenndy for so many years, in the MOST
LIBERAL state in the union, has re-energized me! Let's hope that Scott
Brown's victory is repeated in many other Congressional Mid-term
      elections this year!

F.O.O.L.'s.... are you one?

      Welcome to the "Followers
Of Obama Liberals" (better known as F.O.O.L's) As a F.O.O.L. you are
expected to give everything you make to the government without question
and accept whatever services they choose to provide you without
      question.

Please say the F.O.O.L Oath with
      me.....

      "I love you,
You Love me,
Let's
      screw over our economy.
With a great big chunk of my taxes given free.
Won't
      you please support me?"

F.O.O.L's are not allowed to think
for themselves. The government knows better how to spend your money,
what kind of car you should drive, how your healthcare should be
handled, and what foods you should/should not eat.

F.O.O.L's are not allowed to go
fishing to feed themselves. If a F.O.O.L does go fishing, he is expected
to give all of his/her fish to President of the local F.O.O.L Chapter
and have him divide the fish evenly among all members. It does not
matter if the other members like or want fish, they will be given their
      fair share

      -----------------------------------------------

The above is written as parody. However, it's NOT
funny at all. Simply because, too many fool's voted for a man to run our
country because of his personailty, or the color of his skin, NOT based
      on his political record.

Before anyone calls me racist, let me ask you
this. Did you vote for Obama because he was black? Then you are
just as racist as people that voted against him because he was black.
Pot, meet kettle.... I voted against him based on his history in
politics, his own words & his stand on key issues. I could have cared
      less about his skin color!

Do you really want the Government deciding what's
best for you? For your health? Do you LIKE going to the DMV? Do you LIKE
going to the Social Security office?? Health care does need reform, but
the government has never proven themselves capable of running anything
      effectively.

Picture the D.O.T. work crews, always running behind,
over budget, more supervisors than workers... you know the image. Now,
THOSE GUYS will be running the health care system! THINK ABOUT IT!

As for the fish. Here's how it breaks down. Let's say
I go fishing with 2 of my buddies, Joe and Jim. I catch my limit of 6
trout, Jim Catches 3, but Joe caught NONE (Mainly because he goofed off
and didn't even try!). It's dinner time, and we agreed that dinner would
be what we caught during the day. Meaning, I get 6 fried trout, Jim
get's 3, but Joe is sittiing there with an empty plate. HOW does the
      situation progress??

Socialists, like Obama, would look at it like this: I
am a bad person for having 6 fish on my plate. It does not matter that I
took the time to find the best fishing hole or that I worked hard to
catch them. No, in their eyes, 6 fish are more than I need. Since there
are 3 of us, and 9 fish, it's only fair for them to take 3 fish off my
plate, give them to Joe who did nothing all day and say we are all even.

Conservatives would leave it to ME to look at my
friend and choose to say "Hey Joe, want some fish" and let
me give him as much as I want to. Both cases, we all wind up with 3
fish. But, in this case, I was allowed to decide for myself where MY
FISH that I EARNED went to. Yes, there is that chance that I could be
greedy and Joe could do without supper. Guess what.... That's Joe's
problem and maybe sitting there, his tummy growling, watching me and Jim
enjoy our fish will motivate him to go catch some of his own.

Give a man a fish, you feed him
for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll never go hungry again.

Don't like that? Think about an Easter Egg Hunt. If
your child finds more eggs than another child, do you punish them for
it? Do you take the eggs from them? IF you hide 50 eggs, and have 5
kids, but only 4 hunting them, do you tell the 4 kids they are only
allowed to find 10 eggs each? And do you tell them that, if they find
anymore, they have to put them in the basket of the kid sitting on the
porch doing nothing? That's how a Socialist Easter Egg hunt works.

More Changes

Well, changes are going on so fast I can't keep up with them.....
Between my parents' health issues and choosing to leave my home church,
things are a spinnin' in my world right now.

A Walk In The Park

Well, I'm trying to get back out and walk more. Today, I needed to blow
off some steam, so I put on my iPod and headed up to Little Mullberry
Park. Sometimes, I get a friend to walk with me. But, not today. I had
an idea. my BlackBerry takes nice pictures, and has a 2GB memory card in
it. SO, I started snapping away. Now, it's not like it's a feature rich
camera, but I've been pleased with the results. I took a few of the best
shots and put the together in a video slideshow for you guys.

Been a while...

OK, so I've not been blogging like I should. Long story short...

-I rushed into a relationship with someone who was not who they
pretended to be. They used me, they took advantage of my kindness and
generosity, and worse, they made me not want to trust people anymore.
-I've
let my diet go and put about 20 lbs back on.
-I "Quit" the teams I
was serving on at Church due to burn out.

But, that person is now moving out of my life, I'm back on my service
teams at church, and, I've started walking and back on my diet, again.

Give me some time to get my thoughts together again and I'll be back.

In the mean time, you can follow me on Twitter to!
www.twitter.com/wolfmanrobby

Flying

Maybe it's mid life crisis, maybe it's because I've always dreamed of

One Nation Under GOD!

I got this in an email from a friend today...

      'With hurricanes,
tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe
thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with
the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, 'Are we sure this is a
good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?'

I was prompted to reply with this...

The problem is not having God in the pledge… the problem is God is not
where your hand goes when you say the pledge – the Heart.

This country has not been ONE Nation UNDER God in many, many years. We
are a nation divided in trying to be politically correct, in trying to
appease those that do not believe in God, or worse, those that believe
in a God that would have them commit mass murder in their names.

I’ll defer to our founding fathers…..

      Thomas Jefferson
1781 - Notes on the State of
      Virginia, Query 18

And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have
removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people
that these liberties are the gift of God? That they are not to be
violated but with his wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I
reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep for ever.
Reference:
      Our Sacred Honor, Bennett (352)

      George Washington 1789 -
      Thanksgiving Proclamation

It is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of
Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and
humbly to implore his protection and favors.
Reference:
George Washington: A Collection, W.B. Allen, ed. (543)

      James Madison 1825
      - letter to Frederick Beasley

The belief in a God All Powerful wise and good, is so essential to
the moral order of the world and to the happiness of man, that arguments
which enforce it cannot be drawn from too many sources nor adapted with
too much solicitude to the different characters and capacities impressed
      with it.
Reference: Writings of Madison, Hunt,
      ed., vol. 9 (230)

John Adams
1776 - Thoughts on Government

It is the duty of all men in society, publicly, and at stated
seasons, to worship the SUPREME BEING, the great Creator and Preserver
of the universe. And no subject shall be hurt, molested, or restrained,
in his person, liberty, or estate, for worshipping GOD in the manner
most agreeable to the dictates of his own conscience; or for his
religious profession or sentiments; provided he doth not disturb the
public peace, or obstruct others in their religious worship.

Reference: The Works of John Adams, Charles Adams, ed., 221.

Benjamin Franklin
1787 - Motion for Prayers in
      the Constitutional Convention

And have we now forgotten that powerful Friend? or do we imagine we
no longer need its assistance? I have lived, Sir, a long time; and the
longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this Truth, that God
governs in the Affairs of Men. And if a Sparrow cannot fall to the
Ground without his Notice, is it probable that an Empire can rise
      without his Aid?
Reference: Franklin:
      Collected Works, Lemay, ed. (1138)

Weight Loss Help

OK, I get a lot of questions about my weight loss. Honestly, there is
one big secret.... LOGGING EVERYTHING. What I eat, what I do
      (excercise), my weight....

I use a program called "CalorieKing
Nutrition and Exercise Manager" that I bought for $45 last year. Let
me just say, I highly recommend it. What this program did for me was
make me realize WHAT I was eating. I mean, to come home and log that I
ate a Double Quarter Pounder w/Cheese and Large Fries for lunch and see
my carbs, calories and fat count shoot into the red, well beyond my
"Limits" for the day would blow my mind. And, I would still have to do
soemthing for dinner. What that did was make me start thingking about
foods BEFORE I ate them. I made me change my eating habits. No, this
program does not tell you what you can or can't eat. It just keeps track
of what you do eat and makes you think about it.

Now, there were other programs out there, but CalorieKing just gave me
the biggest bang for the buck. However, the software program from FitDay.com
came in a close second. Now, I know a lot of you are on a budget, or
just don't want to spend the money. Well, the people over at FitDay
have recently begun offering a "Lite" version of their program for FREE.
It's web based, nothing to download. It does not have all the bells and
whistles, but the basics are there. I can tell you, if they had this
last year, I would have used it instead of plopping out the $45 for
      CalorieKing.

I still wholly endorse the CalorieKing software, and recommend it. But,
for my friends that are wanting to lose 10-100 lbs, and want something
cheap or free to try, give the FitDay Free version a try!

Running on God Power

Today Pastor Tony was talking about how we have to depend on God's power
to help us, how we can't run on our own power for long. I've never
doubted that. What, I never knew was just how long someone could run on
      God Power only.

See, my batteries feel dead... not dead as in they need to be recharged,
but dead as in they won't hold a charge of their own anymore. Like an
old laptop I have that runs fine on the external power supply, but as
soon as you pull that plug, it sputters and dies. I've been running on
nothing BUT God's power for a couple of years now. It's what gets me out
of bed in the morning, cause I know that I lost the will to do it myself
a long time ago. It's what dives me to work out, and to lose weight. If
it had been up to me, I probably would have put ON 130 lbs in this last
      year, not lost it.

No, I have not run off of my own power at all for about 4 years now. My
batteries are dead, worn out, shattered and leaking acid...

Just pray that no one trips over my God power cord and unplugs me before
      I can find replacement batteries...

2 years....

Two years ago today (09/22/2006) my then wife of 10 1/2 years, who was
pregnant with our first child, and I signed the closing paperwork on our
first home. We were excited. Yeah, we were out of pocket over $20,000
down payment and closing, but we didn't care! We had a new home and a
      baby on the way

Less than a month later, on October 14th, we lost the baby. The same
week that Patti lost her (Step)Grandmother to cancer.

Less than a year after our closing (Labor Day, 2007), Patti walks out
the door. I won't go into details, but our marriage was over. By
December, 2007, the divorce was final.

In March of 2008, I find out that I may be a daddy, but those hopes are
dashed not long after the little fella is born in July.

And, how
do I "Celebrate" my 2 years after closing? Cleaning my belongings out of
the house. I have been given until October 18th, then I must turn the
keys over to the mortgage company.

I sit here writing this in my "New place" - an 11x12 room with nothing
of my own my my clothes, my computer, my cats and my TV. Everything I
own is packed into storage. The bed I am laying my head on is not even
mine. I have moved it all my self. No help from my so called friends. No
response to emails or phone calls. Emails some claim they never got...
but I have the Read Receipts that say otherwise.

Well, there is ONE thing else I have here that is my own... the tears
      running down my cheek.....

Making Changes....

OK, I've decided to tinker with the look of my blog... ignore any funky
formatting over the next few days as I experiment with different
templates, then tweak them to my liking...

I'm still alive....

I'm sorry it's been nearly 2 months since my last post. Things have been
very hectic in my life, and not hectic good... Health Scares and surgery
for my dad, betrayed by yet someone else I thought cared about me
(Someone that's been part of my life for 20 years), the birth of a son I
wanted but who's not mine, I've lost my home to forclosure, and then,
      this weekend topped the cake.

Over the years, I've helped many friends move. The other week, I emailed
the ones I felt I could count on to repay the favor, since I'm all alone
now. I know the email went out, as I did have a few replies about being
out of town for the holiday weekend (As expected). And, I could see in
their replies, the names of everyone I sent it to. But, I did not get
back a single offer to help... yesterday morning, it was just me, my
fathers Tahoe/trailer and a pair of handtrucks. Three loads to storage,
and so much more to do.
