RSS FeedOptions and Priorities

A few years ago, after my divorce, I swore I would never make anyone a priority in my life again, as long as I was just an option to them. As a result, I let some long standing friendships go. Because, while I had always been there for them, when I needed a friend, they suddenly didn't get the 2 emails and 3 voicemail messages.
The last few weeks, I've tried to not instigate any phone calls, email conversations, text message discussions... Mainly because I wanted to see how many of the people that want me to be their friend, want to be mine.
My phone has been silent, my email bare, very few text messages outside of jokes passed on, 'en masse, have come in. I guess all of my friends are OK, since, they haven't needed anything from me. After all, that's the only reason many of the people that call me friend bother to contact me.
I have a feeling that, over the next few weeks, a few (more than a few really) of my "Friends" are going to notice that I am no longer in their friends list on Facebook, Tagged or MySpace. Then again, will they really notice??
