OK, I've been a little "Slack" in posting. Well, it's not all my fault. First, the post below this one was submitted on 10/24... and I just got it to go. My host made some changes to the backend of the website and it's taken me some time to figure out what I needed to do to my blogging software to get it to post again.
As most of you know by now, Patti and I are seperated, and the divorce papers have been signed and filed at the courthouse. We have a court date of 12/13, 9am and we hope that, since it's uncontested, and we've already divided out property, that it will be in an in and out deal.
What many of you don't know is this... I've been pushing myself, and I mean PUSHING to lose weight. Between the car wreck, the injuries, the surgeries, the depression over the loss of the baby last year... well, I let myself go. When I was at the doctor in late June, I weighed in at 408 lbs!!! That's way over the 250 lbs I was when Patti and I married in 1996 (Way back when I was 21). While I may never get back down to that weight now that I'm nearly 33, I am going to do what I can.
Here's what I mean by PUSHING myself. Since August, I've lost over 40 lbs. I only dropped 10 of that in August, the remaining 30 lbs have come in the last 2 months. On September 18th, I bought the Calorie King software. That has made the change for me. No fad diets. Just watching what I eat, keeping a food diary (in the software) and exercising.
