That "new car" smell

I'm sorry if this comes off philosophical, but it's something that has been on my mind the last few days. Have you ever bought a brand new car or rode in one that someone else bought? You know there is that certain "Smell." It's nothing you can really describe, but that smell gives that car the feeling of being new, it's a part of the experience
However, it does not matter how CLEAN you keep the car, or that you are careful to open the windows when you create your own smells in the car... Eventually that smell will seem to fade, especially to your nose as you become used to it. But, does that make the car any less valuable? And, though you can't smell it, others that do not ride in your car day after day will still notice it after it's faded to you - does that make you jealous? Does that mean there is something wrong with your nose?
Life is that way. More importantly, Love is that way. Do you remember when you first fell in love? Well, over the years, some of that magic is going to seem to fade. Why, because you are used to it. It's still there, others can see it, but you hardly notice it.
You would think someone FOOLISH if they traded in a perfectly good car just because they can't smell that new car smell anymore. So, why is it people give up on relationships when they no longer think they feel the same?
So, if you think your car no longer has that "new car smell" to you, ask someone you trust to take a sniff and see what they say. More importantly, if you think your relationship no longer has that "new car smell," get a friend you trust to tell you what THEY SMELL (or see) in your relationship.
