I know it's early, but it's time to really stat looking at the candidates for 2008. Have you guys given anyone any serious consideration yet?
I like Mitt Romney's POLITICAL views. My big drawback on him is the whole Mormonism thing. However, looking at his past work in politics, he's never pushed any Mormon agenda's. At least that I can find.
I like Rudy. Part of that has to do with his work in cleaning up New York (Prior to 9/11) and his handling of the post 9/11 issues in NY. While his PERSONAL view on abortion is pro-choice, he DOES believe that from a POLITICAL stand, it should be left up to the States to decide. That's how the system is supposed to work. So, I can respect that. He's entitled to his own opinion, and he's not one to push HIS opinion on the entire country.
McCain - I've never been fond of him. I don't know, there is just something about him that give me the creeps. I do have to say I admire his support for the troops and in doing the RIGHT thing by staying on the offensive in the war on terror.
I've heard Duncan Hunter on Rusty Humphries a couple of times and I like what he has to say. I think he would be the strongest on Illegal Immigration. Odd that I like a Republican from KALI-FOR-NI-A, one of the most Liberal states in the union.
As for the rest of the crowd, I have to plead ignorance on them. Is there one of them you really like? Let me know why. You might be able to swing my support that way.
As for now, I have to say my bumper sticker is just reading "Anyone but a Democrat in 2008"
Or this...
