Well, I've had a song in my head for the last few days. You see, I've caught 2 of my favorite Tom Hanks Movies on TV the last few days. The Green Mile & Castaway have both been on. But, for some reason, while I was cutting grass, all I could think of was the Weird Al Song "Gump" - A Parody of the song "Lump."
But, while I think Tom Hanks is a great comedic actor, I feel his BEST work has been when he crossed the line to drama. Of his work, I have to say Forrest Gump, Catch Me If You Can, The Green Mile & Castaway are 4 of his best works. The only thing I liked better was his voiceover work in both the Toy Story films and Polar Express. But, by far, his best work ever had to be The Money Pit. My only problem is I can't watch that movie any more without thinking about the 100+ year old farm house we spent the previous 7 years of our life renting ~~SHUDDER~~ .
Did you know, a stove really can explode and launch a
turkey that far?
I do have to admit, I'm partial to Forrest Gump simply because
I was
living in Savannah, GA while they were filming there.
