Sorry for the lapse

Sorry for the gap in my Blog posts. I've had a lot to deal with (internally) the last few weeks. As the presidential race picks up, expect more from me.
On the presidential race, anyone watch what happened to Rudy at the Debate Tuesday night? He was asked about abortion and his reply was interrupted by "technical issues" - the wireless MIC's were popping from LIGHTNING!! The other candidates all laughed and stepped away from him. It was a very funny moment and I'm sorry I had to wait until I caught the highlights to see it
I'm also learning more about Mitt Romney and Duncan Hunter. I'm liking what I hear.
Yes, Romney is a Mormon and many Baptists (the church I was raised in) say we should not support him for it. However, I would rather have someone who IS religious, believes in God, believes God created man, and is not afraid to back down from his beliefs than any GODLESS Liberal who would have any Religion (other than Islam, after all, they are a peaceful group ~THPPT!) outlawed.
Duncan Hunter - I don't think he will get the nomination, but I hope he at least gets the VP ticket!

Ok, that headline should catch your attention. I really hope it did, because it's true. There are people in this world that, while fighting to STRIP RIGHTS from unborn humans they are trying to GIVE those same rights to monkeys!!! Take 5 mins and read this article and tell me if it does not make you want to just want to SLING POO at these people!

Did you read it? Did you see that the "Great Ape Progect" defines "Great Apes" as “human beings, chimpanzees, bonobos, gorillas and orangutans.” ???? Did you have THIS reaction like I did????
The real problem is that the Liberal Left is behind such ideas. If we let them get away with crap like this, I would not be suprised to see this guy as their next presidential candidate, and he'll be PRO ABORTION (As long as it's only human babies aborted!)

My response- That should be the
decision on not having sex unless she is willing to accept the

My response- Really

John Edward's view: "A woman's decision about whether to become
a parent is one of the most important life decisions that she can face."
My
response- No pretty boy, the most important life decision a woman can
make is to abstain from sex unless she is willing and ready to become a
parent. Abortion IS NOT birth control, it's murder.
Tom Tancredo of Colorado was the only Republican candidate to reply to NARAL and he said it best... "I am a strong believer in the right to life for the unborn child,"
Is the IRS Illegal??

OK, disclaimer here: By NO MEANS am I advising ANYONE to not pay their taxes. Nor, am I providing any LEGAL advice. I'm just pointing out something interesting I've found that I plan to investigate further.
Now that the disclaimer is out of the way, let me pick your brain. How many of you know how our Constitution get's amended? Well, after Congress proposes and votes on an Amendment, it goes to the states. Three-Forths of the states have to agree to before the amendment is ratified and becomes official.
Now, the IRS operates off the 16th Amendment:
"The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes,
from
whatever source derived, without apportionment among the
several
States, and without regard to any census or enumeration."
Well, according to Bill Benson, the amendment was never ratified by the states, and thus is not legal. He bases part of this on the fact that 3 states modified the amendment and then ratified their version of it. This is not legal, not within their power, and is NOT a ratification of the actual amendment.
In his book, "The Law That Never Was," he says that he has visited all of the state capitols and investigated this first hand. I would buy his book and read it myself, but it's $50. So, I did the next best thing. I sent a link over to "FoxReport@foxnews.com" and asked Shepard Smith and his team to look into it. Who knows, maybe you'll hear my name mentioned on "The Fox Report" (7pm EST) or "Studio B" (3pm EST) on Fox News! :-)

More Liberal Hypocracy

On the Fox News program "Your World" today, they had a guest that made a GREAT POINT.
The Liberals in Congress that have been pushing for Amnesty for illegal immigrants under the argument that it could take YEARS to properly secure our borders and fix immigration are the SAME Liberals that think it's taking to long to settle an insurgency in Iraq. Wait, are they saying that our borders are worse than Iraq? The next thing you know, they are going to be saying we need to pull out of Texas, Nevada & New Mexico (They won't dare give up California).
All I have to say is "Where's the Fence?" Congress passed a bill LAST YEAR to biuld a border fence - where is it???

Most of you know that I have been fighting depression for many years. It was made worse when we were run down in the CVS parking lot back in 2004. I know that my friends WANT to make me feel better, and some of you try really, really hard. I appreciate it, but while your intentions are good, unless you've been in this mindset, you can't grasp how many of your attempts are only compounding the problem. So, let me just give you some advice, because the odds are that I am not the only person you know dealing with this.
What NOT to do:
- Don't tell them to "Just cheer up" or "Just put it out of your mind" - if it was that simple, we would have. Most people with depression have an issue with OBSESSION, many are even cross diagnosed as having OCD. It's not a switch we can just flip off when someone tells us to cheer up. Trying to make it sound like a simple fix only frustrates us. It makes us feel that, if it's so simple then there must really be something wrong with us if we can't "Just get over it."
- Don't try to trivialize or "minimize" the problem(s) that are bringing the person down. While you may see it as a small issue, or no big deal (it it may, in reality be just a trivial issue), it's a BIG DEAL in the eyes of the person that is depressed. This only frustrates us, and makes the depression worse. It makes us feel like our problems are not important to the people that we think care about us, and if our problems are not important to you, then we are not important to you.
- Don't try to MAKE us feel better. I know, it's human instinct (Especially for us guys) to try to make things better, and to make our friends feel better. Trust me, it's not something YOU can fix. It's something in our mind and WE have to come to terms with it. Your attempts to help can lead to more,... anyone?? anyone?? FRUSTRATION (Are you seeing a pattern here??)
- Don't blame yourself! It's NOT YOU. It's nothing YOU have done. This is something that really frustrates us, and it compounds the problem by making US think we have done something else wrong.
- Don't claim you KNOW or that you UNDERSTAND. Unless you've been here, YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!!
You can see, many of the things you would normally do to try to cheer up someone can make a person with depression feel worse.
What you CAN DO:
- Listen, let them know you care. It's OK to say you don't UNDERSTAND. That tells us you care, even though you don't grasp the problem. Just be a shoulder.
- Let them know that whatever it is that's bothering them IT IS important to you too. No matter how trivial their problem may be. Nothing makes us feel better than to know that what's bothering us IS IMPORTANT to someone else. There is another meaning to the old saying "Misery Loves Company." It's not that we want other people to be miserable. It's that we want to know we are NOT ALONE.
- Understand that they don't always want to be around GROUPS of other people. Do you know what it feels like to be in a room full of people, all having a good time, yet you feel ALL ALONE? Many people think the best thing to do for someone who's depressed is drag them out to a club, or a party. Let me tell you, even being in a room with people that you KNOW love you & care about you like your family, your friends or at church can cause anxiety even paranoia. The best thing you can do for them is just be with them. If they just want to be alone with you, then understand. Let them be the one that wants to be around other people, when THEY are ready. Not when YOU think it will make them feel better.
- The most important thing you can do is to NOT FORCE THEM. Instead of trying to MAKE them feel better, give them a reason to feel better.
I hope this helps you guys. Not just for my sake, but for the sake of ANYONE in your life that is fighting with depression. It is a fight, and only we can fight it. But, it's nice to know that there are people standing BESIDE US, ready to face the problem with us. No matter how trivial it it to you. Remember, it's all relative to your point of view. I won't go into Einstein's theory of relativity here, but think of it like this: "Sit with a beautiful girl for an eternity, and it can feel like a moment. Sit on a hot stove for a moment and it can feel like an eternity."

You Can't Expect To TALK To These People

Nancy "Do it for the children" Pelosi still thinks that we can "talk" to the terrorist.s That they can be reasoned with. Really? Perhaps she needs to read this news story to just just how EVIL these people can be...
Taliban set up six-year-old suicide bomber (a little hero!)
Can ANYONE think that the kind of people that would TRICK a 6 year old boy into blowing himself up to kill American Troops can reasoned with?
For those of you that want the Cliff Notes version of the story: in Afghanistan, members of the Taliban put an explosive vest on a 6 year old boy and told him to find a group of American Troops, make his way to the middle of the group and then pull a wire on the vest. This would cause FLOWERS to shoot out of the vest making the American's happy.
Well, the boy did not fall for it and went to authorities who removed the vest and disposed of it.
Here's what I've got to say to the 6 year old boy - if he EVER wants to come to the States to go to school, Patti and I will be GLAD to sponsor this little hero!
